Al Sica has been asked to present on the topic: Breaking the Code: Additional Insured Endorsements,
Clauses, and Policy Language. The session is geared towards attorney’s and will breakdown interpreting policy language and evaluating the
various endorsements.
Mr. Sica will highlight what endorsements are now being issued: types of endorsements and their practical application.
He will also offer a comparison of potential policy language focusing on recent revision in ISO language and the impact of new AI endorsements
excluding sole negligence.
In addition, he will cover development of coverage law on additional insured issues and policy limitations
preempting risk transfer: common conditions requirements preempting risk transfer. The session will also touch on the important question:
who is an insured? Other policy exclusions to be wary of, recommendations for avoiding coverage gaps, and the equitable remedies that may be
triggered.

ALS-UIC featured at St. Peters College "Executives
in Excellence" Week, May 2008
Saint Peter’s College hosted Executives
in Residence Week from Monday, May 5 to Friday, May
9 at the Jersey City campus. Albert L. Sica of
ALS-UIC was the featured presenter on May 6th. Al
spoke in depth to the group about Enterprise Risk
Management Principles and how it drives his firm,
ALS-UIC.
The College brought
senior business executives to the campus to engage
graduate students, members of the College community
and guests in discussions about emerging risk
strategies. Each executive will address risk topics
affecting the global business marketplace, including
discussions on individual risk decisions and
cumulative impact, intellectual property protection
in a Global Market, horizon and internal exposures,
the Energy Sector and global demand risk, and bond
rating integration of ERM principals.
